Senate Republicans Repeal Affordable Care Provisions–Again
The legislation still needs a vote in the House of Representatives, as it differs from a House version passed in October that concentrated on repealing the law’s mandates for individuals to buy health insurance and for larger companies to offer health plans to employees. If the House accepts and President Obama signs the bill, it would begin to unravel the destructive coverage provisions of the law-the parts of the law that the public is acutely aware of, but not the hidden parts of the law that are causing extensive damage to personal control over health care decisions and the trusted and confidential patient-doctor relationship. Although an Obama veto is probable, the bill may have better odds of passage if a Republican is elected into the Oval Office next year.
The vote comes at a time when some plans sold via PPACA insurance exchanges have been struggling with weak enrollment, higher-than-expected medical costs, and increased premiums.

Sen. Tom Cotton also said Planned Parenthood has “proven itself unworthy of government support”.

GOP lawmakers said the overall bill could serve as a bridge to a future Republican health care law.
“It’s either repeal or nothing”, Sen. “What are we here for if not to help people back home?” “They’re doing just fine on their own”.
