Senator Dianne Feinstein Comments on Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton
Hillary Clinton discussed classified information in emails sent from her private server while she was Secretary of State.
Barbara J. Wells, a Denver lawyer who represents Platte River Networks, said the information “had been migrated over to a different server” to facilitate transition to a newer system. Greenwald, a defender of Manning, has a point when he criticizes the Obama administration for “wildly overzealous” prosecution of lower-level officials for mishandling classified information.
But it was apparently not until late June or early July that Clinton’s team consulted with the State Department about whether greater security was needed to safeguard any classified information on the emails. And two of the Coordinators helping to make it happen, both of whom worked for Clinton, now work in the private sector and stand to gain financially from the energy reforms they helped create.
Presidential contenders of all stripes are getting ready to hit the Iowa State Fair, and Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton is no exception. As per the CNN/ORC poll of the week, Clinton’s support scores 50% ahead of her rival Sanders’ 31%. Even if the emails highlighted by the intelligence community prove innocuous, she will still face questions about whether she set up the private server with the aim of avoiding scrutiny, whether emails she deleted because she said they were personal were actually work-related, and whether she appropriately shielded such emails from possible foreign spies and hackers.
The Clinton campaign says it’s cooperating with the investigation, but the server was blank.
Former Senator Tom Harkin, on Thursday, openly endorsed the campaign of Hillary Rodham Clinton-adding support to her claims and promises.
Those emails, according to the IG IC, did not contain information that was later classified, but was classified “when originated”.
She was the Secretary of State while we, along with a dozen other countries, fought with and liberated Libya.
Trump also speculated that Clinton’s difficulties could lead to Vice President Joe Biden and former Vice President Al Gore entering the race.
Clinton said she turned over paper copies of 30,490 e-mails relating to government business from her tenure.
The Clinton campaign has made a significant investment in Iowa. Without a label, it’s almost impossible to prove whether Clinton or someone who emailed her passed along classified information, whether willfully or negligently. Instead of tearing up the deal, he said he would “police” it, and he called Secretary of State John Kerry “incompetent” for negotiating the agreement.
Toren, Lieberman and Yoran all said they considered Clinton’s use of a private e-mail system and server to be extraordinary and weren’t aware of any other government officials doing the same. The referral did not allege any criminal wrongdoing, and Kendall, her attorney, has said federal authorities simply want assurances that the emails continue to be properly stored.
