Senators bet on National Football League game
After the 38-7 rout December 6, Minnesota shook off another loss to Arizona and won its final three games to clinch the NFC North title.
The temperature for Sunday’s game is expected to hover somewhere around 0 degrees. “At the same time, we want our fans to be smart and safe when they are supporting the team, and we are taking a few extra steps to assist in that effort this Sunday”.
“The wind affects things more than the cold”.
“The cold is the cold, he told reporters”. I’m sure you guys have seen it a thousand times: makes incredible plays. I’d give it to him, hands-down. They gotta concentrate, and really, don’t worry about the cold. But Minnesota’s barometer will be sophomore quarterback, Teddy Bridgewater.
Peterson, though, said he’ll be “ready to roll” for Sunday’s game, and coach Mike Zimmer said there wouldn’t be any restrictions on Peterson.
“We just hit him”.
If that holds true, the question will no longer be whether or not this is the coldest game in the history of TCF Bank Stadium, but is it the coldest game in the history of the Minnesota Vikings?
That’s nothing compared to the latest forecasts. Against the Panthers last season, a game played in 12℉ temperatures, the Vikings found a 20-degree temperature difference between the home and away sidelines.
Even with the cold temps, the Vikings may already have a home-field advantage. Russell Wilson threw for 3 TD passes and it was Seattle, not Minnesota, that ran the ball successfully (171 yards rushing).
The Vikings defense was the star in Sunday’s win over the Packers, but Adrian Peterson had a pretty nice day too to cap off his National Football League rushing champ season with a hard-earned 67 yards on the ground to go with a touchdown. The 2010 Green Bay Packers, 2007 New York Giants and 2005 Pittsburgh Steelers were all wild card squads that won it all. I am not surprised by this as they seem to be the hottest team coming into the playoffs and are significant six-point favorites on the road in Minnesota. “The guys have bought in…Coach Zimmer being our head coach, he’s a tough guy…The guys understand the challenge that’s in front of us and they’ve been doing a good job answering Coach Zimmer’s challenges”.
Tim Booth with the Associated Press in Seattle joined the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to preview the Seahawks vs Vikings wild card game. Wilson ran for 553 yards in 2015, so Minnesota will have to be very disciplined in staying in their lanes and just hope that they can cover the receivers.
