‘Sense8’ Renewed for Season 2 on Netflix

There’s no information yet about when the second season of Sense8 will come out, or if it’ll be another 12 episodes, with the video only promising that it’s “coming soon”. The streaming service made the announcement on August 8th which is the birthday of the eight lead characters in the series.

The sci-fi thriller follows the lives of eight “sensates” around the world who experience a violent vision followed by the ability to connect with each other’s thoughts, actions and emotions.

Good news, Sensies! Netflix has renewed Sense8 for a second season, and the show’s cast helped share the news. “Just things happening on the backend that have to be worked out”, he said adding that the creators “know where we’re going” for an epic long term plan.

Netflix has not set a premiere date for season two of the series created by Andy and Lana Wachowski. While Netflix nearly always grants its original shows second seasons, it wasn’t necessarily a given for Sense8 since this is considerably more niche than, say, House of Cards. The cast includes Freema Agyeman, Aml Ameen, Doona Bae, Jamie Clayton, Tina Desai, Daryl Hannah, Tuppence Middleton, Max Riemelt, Miguel Ángel Silvestre and Brian J. Smith.
