Serena Williams Will Not Celebrate Daughter’s Birthday

Most of you moms deal with the same thing.

She has five times been to the third round of a Slam, including at the US Open two years ago, but has never been further.

Responding to a reporter who asked if there would be any birthday celebrations for her daughter, the 36-year-old had this to say: “Olympia doesn’t celebrate birthdays”.

She said: “It’s just a good feeling to be back out here. So she showed up in a tutu”.

“Sometimes I get really down and feel like, ‘Man, I can’t do this, ‘” she told Vogue in her cover story where she posed with her daughter.

“It’s easy to play in”, Serena said in a post-match news conference. But she settled in and cruised through the second. She hit six aces, won all eight of her service games and compiled a 23-9 edge in winners.
