Severe Weather in Forecast for Tuesday Night; Tornadoes Possible
Scattered severe thunderstorms will be possible later Tuesday into early Wednesday.
END OF WORK WEEK: A new air mass arrives behind the front and both Thursday and Friday will be dry, with plenty of sunshine, cool days, and chilly nights.
Forecasters there have placed all of the state under some risk of severe storms on Wednesday, with the highest probabilities being in north and parts of central Alabama.
The best chances for showers and thunderstorms come before noon, according to the National Weather Service.
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with southerly winds will keep us warm, in the 60s.

The main risk with these storms will again be damaging winds and isolated tornadoes.
Wednesday, that powerful front moves through with an 80% chance of rain. Despite the slightly less favorable conditions when compared to late Tuesday afternoon. the potential does still exist for some strong winds, hail and even a tornado or two. Up to a half an inch of total rainfall is possible. Temperatures will drop into the teens and lower 20s in many locations. If the GFS is correct, we will have a light accumulation of snow!
Tuesday’s high likely will be around 67 degrees, said Dan Smith, a meteorologist with the NWS. Skies will be sunny as we start each day with lows in the upper 30s and low 40s.
