Shah Rukh Khan: No special reason for acting in ensemble cast
Agonised over protests against the film, Shah Rukh said it made him sad when his work did not reach people as that was the only way he could return their love for him and appealed to his fans to watch the movie. “I will fall in my own eyes if I do that”, Shahrukh said at a media meet to promote his latest film Dilwale. Whether it be religious intolerance, personal safety or anything else. “We will call it “G.One” this time”. So what happened to my freedom of speech?!
According to trade magazine Box office India (image attached below), on Monday Bajirao Mastani had the net collection of Rs 10.25 crore, whereas Dilwale ended up raking in Rs 10.09 crore. “It’s a fun commercial movie”, added SRK.
Shah Rukh Khan has broken many moulds in the industry.
“I have not seen “Bajirao Mastani” or “Dilwale“. I am not in a stage or age that I need to clarify. “I do believe he’s an excellent sense of humour so if I see the film with Ranveer because I believe the film would get him laugh”. So what does King Khan have to say about that? Some critics have panned the film, while many have given average ratings for the Rohit Shetty film. Masala films are beyond critical or artistic acclaim.
About the success of “Dilwale“, he said, “It has a mix of everything – SRK brand, story, film”.
Referring to her tryst with Bengal, Kajol admitted not having picked up nuances of Bengali language despite her father being from the state and her mother Tanuja a popular heroine in yesteryear Bengali films. “We can’t declare any of them as a hit, not as yet”, he says. Dilwale 7th Day Box Office Collections is ₹8.79 Cr (Approx). But if you’re looking for a novel film, then you’ll have to wait for Fan, says Shah Rukh.
The ensemble cast of “Dilwale” also includes Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Boman Irani, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra among others.
