Shah Rukh Khan Questioned Over Sale Of IPL Franchise Shares
Bilkulonline.com, Mumbai, Nov 11: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan recorded his statement before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) here over the alleged undervaluation of shares of his co-owned IPL cricket team, Kolkata Knight Riders, official sources said here on Wednesday.
According to the reports, the Bollywood actor co-operated with them and has provided them with a few documents related to the transfer of shares.
It should be borne in mind that Shah Rukh Khan has been questioned by authorities in connection with IPL and financial irregularities twice before as well.
SRK says, ‘doesn’t know how to make friends’Shah Rukh Khan confessed on the Koffee With Karan that he didn’t know how to make friends and keep them and that he couldn’t always tell people that he loved them. Shah Rukh denied devaluating the shares during the questioning. He had similarly faced the ED in 2011 over charges of committing foreign exchange violations of over Rs 100 crore.
But the valuation report prepared by ED’s external agency states that when the shares were sold, the fair value of an equity share of KRSPL should have been in the range of 70 to 86 rupees.
As the comments by Khan about intolerance in India quickly created a controversy and sparked off a series sharp criticism and vicious comments against the actor, more support started pouring in for him. A rightist Indian politician also called for inspecting Shah Rukh Khan’s offshore accounts.
