Shah Rukh Khan came under attack from BJP leaders after he said there was extreme intolerance in the country. On Wednesday, controversial BJP MP Yogi Adityanath compared Shah Rukh to Pakistani terrorist Hafiz Saeed, and suggested he should move to Pakistan. “India is making a play to be a permanent person in the United Nations and all of the anti-Indian forces, including Pakistan, are developing a conspiracy”, he said. He also said that religious intolerance and not being secular in India was the worst kind of crime that one could do as a patriot.
“I think there is no difference between the language of Shah Rukh Khan and Hafiz Saeed”, he said. “To talk of growing intolerance now would be weakening India before the world”, he said.
Adityanath also said that it was condemnable that people like Congress president Sonia Gandhi, who have been accused of killing lakhs of people, are today teaching the nation about tolerance. “Here we have a country where there are lots of things you can’t talk, I can’t talk, what is said is broken down”.
Vijaybargiya further questioned that, “When hundreds were killed in the 1993 Mumbai serials blasts and when Mumbai was attacked on 26/11, where was Shah Rukh Khan?”.

The actor said that he supports the feeling of the artistes and writers who have returned their awards but he would rather choose a different form of protest, like a march or a strike.
Seems like controversy surrounding Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s statement on intolerance is not going to end soon.
