Shania Twain Cancels Albany Concert Due to Illness
Shania Twain’s Rock This Country tour dates at the Verizon Wireless Arena on October 6th in Manchester, NH and the Times Union Center on October 7th in Albany, New York have been cancelled due to illness.
Country star Shania Twain has cancelled two of her upcoming USA tour dates because of a respiratory infection. Tickets will be refunded at the site of purchase, organizers said. Shania Twain made a decision to have one last tour before retiring from travelling for good. She had described the event as a celebration tour after completing two-years of shows in Las Vegas.
Just a week after Kelly Clarkson announced that she was suspending the rest of her tour, another country superstar is following suit! “This is my last tour”, she said on “Good Morning America” (via People) in March. Most of those sales came from her 1997 smash “Come On Over”, which featured hits like “That Don’t Impress Me Much” and “Man!” She’ll head into the studio after she finishes the live performances.
“This is certainly not my retirement from music”. I want to write more. All remaining dates are in Twain’s native Canada, however, with the final show set for Kelowna, British Columbia, on October 27th. I’d like to spend a lot more time doing that.
