Shareece Wright visits Colts
He was released on September 5, 2015 and signed to the 49ers practice squad the following day.
Newly signed guard Jordan Devey has lived up to expectations at starting right guard so far this year, but it is unlikely 49ers center Geep Chrsyt will make any changes to the offensive line before Sunday’s match up against the New York Giants.
Wright lost $21,875 for every game he was inactive, per CSN Bay Area’s Matt Maiocco, prompting him to seek a trade or release.
Shortly after his release, Wright tweeted out his thanks to San Francisco for granting his initial wish.
The San Francisco 49ers announced on Saturday that they have promoted guard Andrew Tiller to the active roster from the team’s practice squad.
The 6-foot-4, 324-pound lineman was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in 2012 as a sixth-round pick.
Tiller, who played at Central Islip High School and Syracuse, made his National Football League debut with the 49ers in Week 15 last season.
Tiller spent most of last season on the practice squad and was promoted in December, appearing in one game.
Tiller could, feasibly, be slated as a fill-in along the left side of the line.
