Sheamus Cashes In To Become New WWE World Heavyweight Champion
This match was a semi-final match in the 16-man, single elimination tournament to crown to a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Sting, a potential opponent of The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32, made his WWE debut at Survivor Series previous year.
Among the many issues tackled on the show was between Dolph Ziggler and Tyler Breeze.
Paige brought up on Raw last night that Charlotte’s Figure Eight took place with her arms under the ropes, which is technically illegal. The Deadman appeared on the big screen and warned the Wyatt Family that the Brothers will “reclaim” what is theirs at Survivor Series. One such venue included a WWE arena in Atlanta US. Give me Reigns to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
The match was nothing short of exciting as an all-out brawl breaks out between the four WWE superstars.
The pay-per-view (PPV) will be highlighted by the WWE heavyweight title final and semifinal tournament which will see Roman Reigns facing USA champion Alberto Del Rio while Dean Ambrose will take on Intercontinental champion Kevin Owens.
Now this is hard to predict, considering we do not know who is going to be in the match yet, as the WWE have bizarrely not announced it yet. We’ll see if something big happens on Sunday to make this entire storyline worthwhile, because right now, I’m completely underwhelmed. If WWE has its way, every bit of that heat will wind up on Paige, and Charlotte will be the sentimental favorite.
With that in mind, it seems like Reigns is a shoe-in to win the title Sunday. Bizarrely, WWE refused to tease any tension between the two and instead had them part ways with the promise of sportsmanship and a brotherly fist bump. Reigns had a lengthy celebration in the ring, complete with tons of confetti falling from the ceiling as he gets emotional holding the title when out of nowhere, Triple H’s music hit.
It is the second time that Roman Reigns has been ousted by the use of Money in the Bank contract. Dean Ambrose wins with the Dirty Deeds. He said he is pound for pound the best Irish champion, and he’s in good company with Finn Balor and Connor MacGregor.
