Sheena Bora’s murder still remains a mystery

But the CBI officers have not discover the real motive behind the murder.

CBI, while maintaining that financial transaction was the motive behind the murder of Sheena, had earlier said that Peter, during his interrogation, disclosed investments of crores of rupees made by him and Indrani.

Going by what the CBI told the court, there is obviously much more in the case.

Peter, fifty nine, husband of Indrani, was arrested on November 19 for his alleged position within the Sheena Bora homicide case.

The investigating officers claimed that they have been gathering all evidences against the Mukerjeas and the revelations are “shocking”.

There may be a direct link between the murder and the money stockpiled by the Mukerjeas after the sale of their company, INX Media in 2009.

On the other hand, special public prosecutor for the CBI Kavita Patil raised strong objections to Indrani’s application and told the court that the accused is not entitled to get the copy of statement at this stage. It may be recalled that Sanjeev was dumped by Indrani and their daughter was legally adopted by Peter.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday moved an application before a special court for interrogation of Indrani Mukerjea, Sanjeev Khanna, and Shyamvar Rai for three weeks on the jail premises, over their Skype conversations. “Why would Sanjeev agree to be part of the murder unless there were big bucks involved and he was promised a share?”

Indrani later divorced Sanjeev Khanna and tied nuptial knots with former media baron Peter Mukerjea. They are Peter Mukerjea’s son Rahul Mukerjea, Indrani’s personal secretary Kajal Sharma, Worli-based auto dealer Faisal, Col. Shubodoy from Mumbai Metro where Sheena Bora worked, and Madhukar Kilje, manager of Marlow building – the residence of Peter and Indrani.

Some of the questions were apparently personal in nature, like, “if Peter was aware whether Indrani was still in touch with her former husbands”, “if he still trusted his wife” and “whether their relationship had soured in the last few years”.
