Sheriff: 4 dead inside SC home; no search for suspect | WSAV
Four people were found dead by police in an apparent murder-suicide at a South Carolina home. A sheriff’s spokesman said no details will be released until the autopsies are complete. She says one of the four found dead was 50-year-old York County Assistant Manager Anne Moore. All of them died from gunshot wounds.
Deputies are not actively searching for a suspect at this time, and are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Rock Hill is about 25 miles southwest of Charlotte and has a population of about 65,000. Also killed were Randy Eugene Moore, 55, Anna Moore’s husband; her son, Jason Lockamy, 31; and Lockamy’s girlfriend, Lora Kathryn Young, 31.
Information about Anna Moore recently surfaced, revealing that she supervised animal control, the department of fire safety, emergency management, the jail, public safety communications and the summer feeding program.
“We’re not going to be able to go into detail of who was shot, how many were shot or whatever”, the sheriff continued. The identities of the victims were not released, pending notification to family members, York County Sheriff Bruce Bryant said.
Neighbors said the Moores had just moved to the home where the shootings occurred Sunday.
