“The fact that Resiles remains at-large today, tells me there are more people aiding and abetting him and his escape”, he said. “We know that Resiles had accomplices”.
It is believed, according to arrest documents, that the escape was planned during phone calls and visitations between Resiles, Stern and Russell.
Surveillance video shows Resiles running out a courtroom exit.
“Back in 2014, we responded to an address here in Davie of a homicide”, said Davie Police Dept. Capt. Dale Engle. “Our folks are working around the clock”.
Resiles, accused of the September 2014 home invasion stabbing death of Davie’s Jill Halliburton Su, is listed as 5-10, 175 pounds.
He has a number of tattoos including images of flames, a skull and hand, an angel and stars with the phrase Hood Stars.

Israel said one of the bailiffs unsuccessfully tried to grab Resiles, but he got away through the north wing of the building. A Friday afternoon perimeter at the Regal Trace Apartments, 540 NW Fourth Ave.in Fort Lauderdale, captured a suspect in an unrelated case.
Following Resiles’ escape, the courthouse was immediately placed on lockdown and Fort Lauderdale police assisted Broward Sheriff’s officers in scouting the surrounding area. He’d been sitting calmly in Judge Raag Singhal’s jury box next to a crowd of other inmates waiting to have their cases heard. Out of the blue, reports say, Resiles burst out of his shackles, shot up out of his seat, and ran from the room.
Frank Celone, a witness to the chaotic scene, said: “Right before he got there he pulled the buttons on his uniform”.
“He was always softly spoken, a complete gentleman”, Williams said. “Nobody escapes from here”.
Resiles was a serial burglar, according to police and has pending charges for home break-ins in Plantation, Miramar and Oakland Park, the Florida Sun-Sentinel reported. She was a member of the wealthy Texas-based Halliburton Co family, who was married to a University of Florida entomology professor.
