Sherrod Brown critical of Trump appointee
Sen. Sherrod Brown said Bannon promoted “anti-Semitic, racist, misogynistic” views on the Breitbart website. Rand Paul said opposition to Bannon’s appointment was simply “sour grapes” over the election. “You know, we have to keep our talented people in this country”, Trump said.
The Democrats pointed out that individuals affiliated with the KKK have praised Bannon’s hiring, with former white nationalist David Duke telling CNN that Bannon had been “basically creating the ideological aspects of where we’re going”.
During Bannon’s reign over Breitbart, the website ran articles referring to conservative commentator Bill Kristol as a “renegade Jew” and Washington Post columnist Anne Applebaum as “a Polish, Jewish, American elitist scorned”.
Adam Jentleson, the spokesman for Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, expressed disgust at the news of Bannon’s appointment.
The Jewish Federation, in a news release, wrote that it “strongly objects” to Bannon’s appointment and urged Trump to exclude from his team “those who seek to divide through the promotion of hate”.
“What do you say to those critics who say this is bring white supremacists into the White House?” asked Stephanopoulos.
“Tell Mr. Trump to read a little bit about science”, he said.

Bannon, like Trump, is as likely to insult Republicans as Democrats, saying in a 2010 radio interview, “What we need to do is b–h-slap the Republican Party”. Today?
