Shonda Rhimes Reveals How She Lost 117 Pounds — See Her Transformation!

Shonda wore a black and white floral number that highlighted her slimmed down figure, and even her facial features seemed more defined.
She tells Extra that she finally chose to get in shape for her kids, because she wants to “be around” for a while longer for them. ‘I have a few little kids and I want to be around for them’.
“Grey’s Anatomy” and “Scandal” creator Shonda Rhimes has dropped a whopping 117 pounds – and now, she’s revealing the secret behind her slimdown. Rhimes opened up about her weight loss transformation at a recent ABC red carpet event. Rhimes confessed that the thought of not being around to see her three daughters grow up was enough to get her moving.
And she also had to change her mentality.
As for how she found time to exercise when she’s already working with such a full plate, Rhimes says that she’s actually more energetic now that she’s slimmer and healthier. “Once I decided it wasn’t going to be fun, I lowered my expectations”, she explained. I’m suddenly craving fish and salad’.
