Shooter on the loose after 1 person left dead in Wilno, Ont.
Schools were reportedly on lockdown, although police said they had no reason to fear the children were in danger.
Officers later said they arrested a 57-year-old suspect in Ottawa, about 111 miles away.
OPP said various lockdowns which were put in place in Wilno while police searched for the armed suspect have been lifted.

“Events like this are not very common and it just shows the teamwork between police services”, Rae told The Canadian Press. By 11:10 a.m. officers had located a third woman dead in a home on Kamaniskeg Lake Road. A 57-year old man was arrested in connection with the investigation in Ottawa Tuesday afternoon, according to the OPP.
She also says “residents in the area should remain in their homes and report any suspicious activity”.
Extra security measures were also taken in Ottawa as police announced the suspect may have headed to the city. Burchat said her husband was trying to return to be with her, but had been kept away by road closures as the police investigated the scene.
