Shooting reported near Calif. golf course
The owner of nearby Coronel Tires said in a telephone interview that the entire area was locked down.
A report compiled with data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation shows some circumstances surrounding Wednesday’s San Bernardino shooting are rare. Police were also investigating a “suspicious device” at the scene. Cervantes said the suspects were heavily armed and could be wearing body armor.
Despite the hard closure, reports have surfaced that at least some of the shooters may have escaped the premises, as there is now a search for a black SUV in the local vicinity.
Sgt. Vicki Cervantes, a spokeswoman for the San Bernardino Police Department, told reporters at the scene up to three shooters were reported inside the Inland Regional Center.

Tom Brown said he and countless other employees and customers at San Bernardino Golf Club were on lockdown Wednesday. “We will continue to utilize all safety resources available to the San Bernardino community to deal with this tragedy”, he said. Some things that get reported by the media will later turn out to be wrong.
