Shoppers: Black Friday not as busy as anticipated
This holiday weekend, almost six in 10 Americans plan to venture out to shopping malls, big box stores and local businesses in hopes of snagging some sweet deals, according to the National Retail Federation. Millie Tucker, a Dayton resident, got up at 4 a.m. on Black Friday to shop for clothes, but refused to go out on Thanksgiving. She’s finished all of her holiday shopping online, but she and her mother continued their decades-old tradition of spending Black Friday together.

The hustle of Black Friday shopping, which has crept into Thanksgiving Day in recent years, tapered off across stores in Fayetteville early this morning.
