Shoppers Camp Out Waiting For Best Buy Black Friday Deals
A lot of the Best Buy early birds told us they planned to get home in time for Thanksgiving dinner, but a few said they’d just head to other stores for more deals.
“There are fantastic deals still”.
“It feels so good when you find something that should be like $20 dollars but you get it for $10 or $5 or whatever you get it for”, said shopper Nicole Patel.
Stores like Best Buy, Old Navy, and Target opened their doors for Black Friday, on Thursday.
“That’s a good deal that you can’t really beat”, she said. Most major retailers set 5 or 6 p.m.to kick off their Thanksgiving day sales. “I cooked my turkey last night, so it was a little early turkey for me”, said San Jose resident John Perez.
The National Retail Federation expected about 30 million to shop on Thanksgiving, and 99.7 million on Black Friday.
“We’re encouraging people in the local community to shop local”, said Suzanne Nolfo Carlos, Houma-Terrebonne chamber president and CEO.
Shoppers are out in full force searching for the best deals.
Shepard told us, “Well we’re excited about having all the shoppers here to take advantage of Black Friday savings”. “I don’t do Black Friday shopping”, Derrick added.
Stores will have normal business hours starting Saturday. “I got flannel, a jacket, another jacket right there”.
“She went out for us, so I just save my money and go out every year”.
“It’s the highest resolution of TV that’s available now”, said Stu Bidinger, Best Buy store general manager regarding the 4K TVs.
If you want to see pure childhood delight, stop by Wisconsin’s only LEGO Store on Black Friday. She said she saved at least $200. Some stores are boycotting opening on Thanksgiving.
Families and millennials were their main customers.
Hundreds of people lined nine levels of escalators Thursday at Macy’s Herald Square in Manhattan to get a head start on the deals.
