Shoppers expected to pack stores with returns the day after Christmas

“A lot of the stores, anything Christmasy they have like 50 percent off and stuff like that”.

But before you spend a day taking back your unwanted gifts here’s a few pieces of advice.

“I think now after the shopping season is over, it’s still a little insane”. “She’s got more stamina than me”.

After unwrapping Christmas presents Monday morning, Tiffany Cydis went shopping the next day to find some decorations and gifts for next year’s holiday season.

“There’s a ton that just, they don’t want it”. “Picking out something is more gratifying, especially if they like it, because you’re like, ‘I know their taste.’ On the other hand, I think sometimes they’ll say they like it when they really don’t, just to keep me happy”.

Bridgers was keen to beat the return policy. About 30 percent of shoppers redeem a gift card after returning an item.

She does not shop the day after Christmas every year, but she did this year “because we need the Christmas lights”.

Hurtz said they’re on the hunt for cute clothes and a specific item for next year. Premium electronics purchased from November 1 through December 25 may be returned by January 31.

Still local shopping centers stayed busy with shoppers throughout the season – and mall officials say they still have something to offer that consumers can’t get online.

Plan to be among plenty of other people doing the same thing.

“Not that much going on, there’s been a lot of exchanges”.
