Showbiz News: Can’t Buy Me Love star Amanda Peterson dies, aged 43
Peterson left Hollywood in 1994 to return to her home state of Colorado. They said they were investigating the cause of her death. Amanda Peterson was no longer active in the entertainment industry at the time of her passing.
TMZ reported that family members last heard from Peterson sometime before Friday.
Her father told TMZ he did not yet know the official cause of death, but said she had been suffering “health issues” including a sleep apnoea problem.
“She died on Friday morning”.
In 1985, she returned to the silver screen, acting alongside River Phoenix and Ethan Hawke, in “Explorers”.
Amanda Peterson was 43 years old, married and living in Greeley, Colorado, where she grew up.
According to the Internet Movie Database, Peterson was born in Greeley – she would have been 44 on Wednesday.

She got her first film role when she was 9 and acted in John Huston’s 1982 feature adaptation of the Annie musical.
