Sia Streaming New Song ‘Alive’.

Speaking to Zane Lowe on Beats 1, Sia talked about the story behind the song and how she originally wrote it with Adele in mind.

This is the first song from this new project. Her last single was the 2012 Oscar-winning theme song “Skyfall“. According to Billboard, Danger Mouse, Max Martin, Tobias Jesso Jr. and OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder have all lent a helping hand to Adele’s newest masterpiece.

As for Adele’s upcoming album, Hits magazine reported that Adele’s release date might be November 20. “See you again later in the year”, prompting speculation the album could have been released last autumn. The pain pours forth from Sia’s cracking, flaking voice on Alive, allowing her to examine her own placement amidst the ever-changing pop landscape and unleash one of her mightiest performances ever.

“Adele is simply too big just to be part of a green room of guests on a chat show”, a source told The Sunday. As the title suggests, the record consists of songs that Sia wrote for other artists.

But could she be heading more down the country route? It actually brings us one step closer to new Adele music.

Previously, Adele took to social media to tease fans that she is working on releasing an album called “25”. These days she’s not singing about a break up. “It’s a bit much, really”, he said. “I have these songs made and they have [been] rejected, but [they] seemed… good, so I kept [them for] myself”.
