Sidharth Malhotra gears up as New Zealand tourism ambassador!
As a fan of the “Lord Of The Rings” film series, Indian actor Sidharth Malhotra was thrilled to receive Frodo Baggins’ ring from Oscar winning legend Richard Taylor, who made significant contribution to the trilogy’s costume, make-up and visual effects departments.
Expressing his zeal, Sidharth said that he is very “excited to embark on a visit to the picturesque land to experience its diverse landscapes, culture and adventure activities”. And he was impressed to see the swish campus!
“I was 22 when I first shifted to Mumbai for a film”. Sid stepped on a narrow pathway with his safety gear on the enjoy the best view of Auckland! Then I took up work as an assistant director in My Name Is Khan. “Every day, every film and every scene is challenging”, added Sidharth. He said since he is a traveller, he believes in experiencing everything that a destination offers. While he’s a widely followed Indian actor of his generation, his popularity could especially be gauged with the way he was received at the Auckland Airport, where a few of his fans cheered for him.
On completing his first ever adventure activity in New Zealand, the “Brothers” star said, “Walking around the Sky Tower, which is the tallest building in the southern hemisphere, was absolutely fantastic”.
The 30-year-old, however, was impressed with the two women rugby players and shared that when he used to play the sport as part of Delhi Hurricanes, it was tough to convince even the boys about it.
As per reports from TVNZ, Sidharth will not only shoot for a promotional video marketing on the tourism in India but it will give out a message on safe driving (last week Tourism New Zealand posted a video that showed a camper van running on the right hand side of the road).
