“Silicon Valley” Fav Receives “The X-Files”
The Silicon Valley star has always been a trusted X-Files expert, and he even hosts a podcast dedicated to discussing and analyzing individual episodes.
The “Silicon Valley” actor announces on Twitter that he’ll be appearing in an episode written and directed by his “favorite writer” Darin Morgan. He added that the script is “wonderful”.
– Kumail Nanjiani (@kumailn) July 18, 2015I had been trying to stay calm & approach it like any other job. Just look at him with series stars Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny. And then I freaked out soon as I saw this. The report by Entertainment Weekly also notes that Kumail Nanjiani has been tweeting about some behind the scenes action at the set of the “X-Files” revival series.
The self-proclaimed fanatic of the sci-fi show once mentioned during his visit at the Conan O’Brien show how he once thought that all the stories featured in “The X-Files” are based on real life, USA Today’s Entertain This reported. He also said of the two main actors, “David & Gillian were truly kind, welcoming & hilarious. Great people. Now back to your regularly scheduled irony”, he tweeted.
He also shared with his Twitter followers that he recorded Duchovny and Anderson reminiscing about their time on the show, which originally aired on Fox from 1993 to 2002.
Fox has released a short snippet trailer of the new X-Files series to be released next year. Go on, I dare you not to get overwhelmingly giddy and excited. I don’t know how the quality is cuz it was on my phone.
The moment we first heard that he was appearing on the show (which premieres in January 2016), we were thrilled.
