Simon Cowell: Son will bark before he talks

On Thursday night Cheryl Fernandez-Versini shared the hilarious picture of the X Factor boss wearing identical clothes to his 17-month-old son.

“I actually said to Lauren beforehand, ‘What if I like the dogs more than him?'” Simon has previously told Extra.

The toddler celebrated his Boot Camp debut with a ride on a golf buggy, as dad Simon held up auditions so he could drive his son around at the fancy mansion where they are now being held.

The only thing that’s missing on Eric is a pair of the 55-year-old signature mirrored aviators. Simon and his partner, Lauren Silverman, welcomed Eric in to the world in February 2014.

At 18 months old, Simon’s mini-me son Eric is nearing a very exciting moment, saying his first word.

Cowell, 55, is anxious that 18-month-old Eric will bark before he can speak as he spends a lot of time with the family’s Yorkshire Terrier’s, Squiddly and Diddly. Speaking to the Daily Star, he revealed: “He spends most of his time with Squiddly and Diddly. He is going to end up barking”.

“And she said, ‘You’re gonna be absolutely fine, ‘ and then literally within seconds of him being born, I got it!”
