Liverpool are expected to start goalkeeper Adam Bogdan against Southampton in the Capital One Cup, while Philippe Coutinho could return to the squad.
Stoke’s highly-rated England global Jack Butland, veteran AC Milan shot-stopper Diego Lopez and FC Koln starlet Timo Horn have been talked about as potential targets for the Reds. We have enough high quality goalkeepers, I’ve had a lot of goalkeepers over last few years and Simon Mignolet is one of the smartest I have ever have.
Nevertheless, Klopp has dismissed those reports by publicly backing his No. 1 goalkeeper, and he will hope that in turn gives the Belgian worldwide the confidence boost that he needs to rediscover his best form.
“I would like to think of this the evening before we play at Wembley, not today”, Klopp said on Tuesday.

Adam Bogdan is prepared to do everything in his power to fight for the number one shirt at Liverpool.

Klopp is considering fielding Bogdan against Southampton in the Capital One Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday. “He’s young enough to develop, to improve”.
“He was not in the easiest situation before I came here, but I have no reason to criticise him”.
“If you have 20 injuries, you can not treat it like it is the first”. If you have more injuries then you have more doubt.
“There was no physical reaction for either of them, they did their job, and that’s good news for us”, he said. “We have these two options but we can’t ignore that there could be extra-time and that perhaps 120 minutes would be too much for them”.
Toure has made just a handful of appearances for Liverpool this season and is yet to start a Premier League game this term, but has come off the bench in their last two outings.
