Singer Celine Dion’s brother has cancer

Sources say that Celine Dion’s older brother is on his deathbed and only has hours to live after a fight with cancer. Like Angélil, Daniel is said to have throat cancer, as well as brain and tongue cancer.

Celine’s sister, Claudette Dion, told The Journal of Montreal, “It’s very painful”.

Angélil died on Thursday, January 14, 2015, after a “long and courageous” battle with cancer and the singer is still planning the funeral for the father of their three children.

Celine Dion’s older brother Daniel is reportedly sufferring from cancer. “Our condolences go out to Mr. Angelil’s family and friends during this hard time for them”. Gary Selesner, president of Caesars Palace, said that Angelil was an fantastic person and a great business person and had ended up a very beloved member of the hotel’s family. While we pray for a miracle that Daniel recovers, right now it’s not looking likely. He is just 59 years old.

The news of his death was confirmed by his representative in a statement.

There will also be a Celebration of Life held in Las Vegas on February 3 at the Caesars Palace Colosseum from 7 to 9 p.m.

Celine, 47, has already cancelled her Las Vegas shows for Saturday and Sunday, following René’s death on Thursday.
