Six Flags New England Gets New Coaster Next Year
It’s the day where coaster fans, and adrenaline junkies all over the country find out all the new insane adventures coming to their favorite coaster park chain, Six Flags! Strong reviews from visitors won the ride our annual Theme Park Insider Award for Best New Attraction in July.
Splashwater Falls – Six Flags America in Maryland will add the Splashwater Falls water play tower to its water park. “It is clear our strategy is working – guests are thrilled by the continuous stream of exciting new attractions and park upgrades and we look forward to wowing them again next spring with our 2016 offerings”.
Theme parks are always trying to up the ante when it comes to insane rides, but Six Flags just took things to a new level.
Harley Quinn Spinsanity will be a 1970s-era Huss Troika that is similar to the popular Scrambler rides except suspended from overhead arms that tilt. The multi-lane mat racing slide complex is the largest slide of its kind in the world. The two newly-themed children’s areas will feature 12 rides and attractions that families can experience together.
“The Joker will be the most talked about new coaster in 2016″, said Don McCoy, park president, in a press release. The new towering Riddler Revenge pendulum swing will be joined by a pair of vintage spinning rides. Seated back-to-back, guests will rocket through a series of 360-degree revolutions, stopping upside down before reversing directions.
Another distinct offering in this new trio of thrills – Hurricane Force 5 will rotate both clockwise and counter-clockwise with guests sitting on motorcycle-like seats facing outward. Riders will feel like Superman™ as they climb over 20 stories in to the air and race down like a speeding bullet at 77 miles per hour.
