On a per-share basis, the Grand Prairie-based company said it had profit of 67 cents.
The earnings per share exceeded Wall Street expectations by 5 cents.
Overall, the operator of theme parks reported $65.5 million in profit, which was down from last year at the same time of $66.3 million. It reported a rise in attendance of 9% to $8.9 million from the same period one year ago.
