Six Flags renames roller coaster after losing Cubs/Cardinals bet
Since the Cubs beat the Cardinals in the series, the St. Louis park renamed “American Thunder” to “Cubs Thunder”, according to the report.
A St. Louis amusement park has to make good on a bet.
So, next time you go to Six Flags St. Louis, it’s likely that you will come across a ride called the Cubs Thunder.
If the Cubs win the NLCS against the New York Mets, the New Jersey park will rename their record-breaking Kingda Ka roller coaster to “Kingda Cubs”. It will be called “Cubs Thunder” for the remainder of the 2015 season.
The theme park will also have to fork over Maull’s BBQ sauce with pork steaks and send famous St. Louis toaster ravioli. If the Cardinals won, Great America would rename its Raging Bull coaster to “Raging Cardinals” during Fright Fest, along with shipping Chicago-style deep-dish pizza and Old Style beer down Interstate 55.
