Size model Ashley Graham steals the show on the catwalk in lingerie
Ashley walked in what she calls her “favorite set”, and posted photos to her Instagram with the hastag #IAmSizeSexy.
Graham, who was the first plus-size model to appear in Sports Illustrated magazine, is spearheading various other online campaigns to promote equality for curvy women.
You may also remember her as the model who Instagrammed her version of the “Beach Body Ready” campaign as a backlash to the original, with the tagline ‘curves in bikinis’.
History was made at New York Fashion Week yesterday when a group of gorgeous models of all shapes and sizes took to the catwalk to model a collection of lingerie designed by plus-size model and body-positive campaigner Ashley Graham. All the girls looked unbelievable . “We rocked it!!! #IAmSizeSexy”.
According to the brand’s press release, Ash says: “Size shouldn’t matter when you’re talking about a woman who just wants to be fashionable”. Although their fuller figures were a welcome sight (and a realistic reflection on how Addition Elle’s customer base would look in the lingerie), it was those delicate designs that stole the show.
Ashley Graham is determined to make all body types accepted by the fashion industry – and she’s been putting in the work.

Meanwhile, Ashley has also been pioneering a similar campaign coined #PlusIsEqual in collaboration with plus-size retailer Lane Bryant. Upon scrolling through this model’s Twitter feed, we came upon one brilliant hashtag that deserves more prominence: #BeautyBeyondSize.
