Ski Butternut participates in setting joint Guinness world record
More than 130 ski resorts nationwide have set out to teach the largest ski and snowboard lesson. All participants must arrive early to receive the $10 lesson, equipment rental and all day lift ticket. At $10 per person, the event also offers parents an affordable way to introduce their children to snow sports.
Accomplishing what’s never been done before, the ski areas will add up their participant numbers for the official tally of largest ski lesson at multiple venues.
Alpine was one of 160 resorts across the country that teamed up to break a record for the largest, one-time ski and snowboard group lesson in the world.
Alpine staff say regardless of breaking the record, they’re just excited to see snow on the mountain again.
“I’m really happy with our turnout, we have over 150 [participants]”, said Stephanie Reynolds, ski and ride instructor at Powderhorn. “Bring the kids, bring your friends, bring your family and get them excited about skiing and snowboarding”. Advance registration is suggested, but walk in registrations are welcome.
