Sky introduces restart for movies and new recommendation service
The broadcaster has introduced a serious software program replace to its Sky+ packing containers, which it says will make it simpler to seek out new titles.
The new update has already starting rolling out to Sky+HD boxes across the country, and according to Sky it should be available in millions of homes by the end of Autumn.

From today, movie fans will experience a new way to find and watch their favourite films. To use the “Watch from Start” option, you need to press the green button and it’ll download the whole movie (including the bit you’ve missed) so you can start it again at your leisure.
Ian Lewis, Director of Sky Movies said: “If there’s one place the family can count on for the latest Hollywood blockbusters or classic films, either live or on demand, it’s Sky Movies”.
Sky said it would also introduce the Rotten Tomatoes audience score-based ratings system as a feature later this year.
“That is simply the newest in a collection of enhancements we’re rolling out each few months to ensure Sky+ continues to make TV watching an excellent expertise in houses up and down the nation”, Sky’s Director of TV Merchandise Luke Bradley-Jones stated.
Another new additions is ‘Watch from Start.’ As it suggests, it’s for those occasions where you tune into a film that’s already started. “The pace at which we’re developing for Sky+ has never been quicker – so customers can look forward to more updates later this year and into 2016”.
Sky has often been accused of falling behind its younger competitors, despite launching its on-demand services in 2005, 2 years prior to Netflix’s US video-on-demand service.
