‘Sky Ladder’ Made of Fireworks Blows Minds
Generally, there’s video of fireworks in a variety of colors bursting outward like flower petals.
The effect is stunning and the ladder continued to glow dramatically against the evening sky. Cai employed a hot-air balloon to finally find a successful way to display his fireworks ladder for 80 seconds – after 21 years of dreaming of accomplishing such a feat.
The display was captured on video in the city of Quanzhou, China, in June.
Cai Guoqiang created Sky Ladder, a attractive fire latter that was raised into the air by a weather balloon hat pulled over 1600 feet of wire studded with fireworks and gunpowder. The first attempt was made to launch a similar balloon in the sky in 1994 but two attempts were in vain following strong winds.
Sky Ladder, referred to by some as a “stairway to heaven”, was dedicated to the artist’s grandmother, who just celebrated her 100th birthday.
This firework, called the “Sky Ladder” is exactly what it sounds like and we can’t stop watching this video of it gracing the sky with its beauty.
“Is that you God?”
