Skype For Business Launching On iOS And Android Devices
Microsoft has since announced that they are launching the technical preview of Skype for Business for iOS and Android devices.
Late in 2011, Microsoft previewed which typically its corporate-oriented im computer software Lync could well be substituted with Skype for Business first recently. These include; an update dashboard which keeps the contact search bar, upcoming meetings, and recent conversations all accessible from one place.
Larger buttons within calls and meetings also makes it easier for users to mute, add participants and manage calls, while video now fills the screen.
Skype for Business will probably be present on both iOS and Android and should be developed later the last few months. Plus, move between video (now full screen) and content with a single tap, without losing track of the speaker.
Skype for Business was officially released in April for Windows PCs, but Microsoft has been slower to update and rebrand other platforms.
The upgraded Skype for Business can compete against Google’s Hangout video conferencing standards and even match up to some of the premium business conference suites available in the market. The new preview brings a tailored platform dashboard to the app as well as In-Call and In-Meeting experiences.
Goralnick claimed the Skype for Business app has been built specifically to make navigating calls and meetings easier on smartphones and tablets. Here’s a list of new features along with instructions on how you and your company can join the beta test. From skypepreview.com users can nominate up to four new users for testing the new apps. To be in the first group of testers for the apps, administrators will have to apply before Friday, August 14 (US time).
