Sneak peak of new ride coming to Six Flags in Gurnee
Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson Township, New Jersey, will be adding a new and unique roller coaster called Total Mayhem. Cars are lifted straight up a 12-story, 90-degree hill, and riders in the freely spinning seats will flip head-over-heels at least six times during their journey.
The three new rides come on the heels of the 2015 opening of Batman, the world’s first 4-D roller coaster, which made its debut earlier this year to larger than expected crowds. On Hurricane Force 5, riders take on the power of a storm and swirl round-and-round while soaring high into the air; and Spinsanity will offer the ultimate whirling adventure for thrill-seekers.
This new thriller will be located in the Illinois section of the park where the Rush Street Flyer now sits.
The Joker, he of the maniacal snigger, inexperienced hair and purple go well with with tails, is coming to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom.
Louis will heat things up in 2016 with a new ride – Fireball.
New Revolution – Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, Calif. will remove the over-the-shoulder restraints on the Revolution roller coaster and replace them with modern snug-fitting lap bars in 2016.
Six Flags looks to boost attendance by adding some new ride or attraction each year at each of its 18 parks across the US, Mexico and Canada.
Park President John Fitzgerald said the ride will “expand into the realm of insanity – or spinsanity – with this new, vertical coaster that delivers gravity-defying somersaults with utter unpredictability”. In addition to the looping excitement of Fireball, two other rides will round out the park’s new Fiesta Bay Boardwalk. The Montreal-area park will also run the 2002 Vampire inverted coaster with its seats facing backward for the 2016 season.
