Right now it’s a high pressure cell that’s dropping out of Canada that’s preventing the next batch of moisture to push all the way into the Billings area tonight. Winds: Northeast 2-6 miles per hour.
The cool, December-like temperatures that forecasters have been predicting on the horizon will arrive in the midstate Friday with a high in the mid-40s and lows expected to drop below 30 degrees.
Saturday will start with chances of snow showers as highs stay in the low 30s. Winds: East turning Southeast 6-12 miles per hour.
Friday Night: A chance of showers before 8pm, then a chance of rain between 8pm and 1am, then a chance of showers after 1am.
Thursday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 55. Winds: South to Southeast 3-8 miles per hour.
Tuesday: Cloudy with a 50 percent chance of showers. Low temperatures near: 62. Cloudy, with a low around 21. Low temperature near: 66. In the Billings area, light snow fell yesterday producing about an inch of additional snowfall. Southwest winds 10 to 20 miles per hour creating wind chill factors of -5° to +5°.
