Snow showers and cold for Christmas Day
Afternoon highs warmed up nicely with southwesterly winds, climbing into the 60s. Christmas Day, we expect a very cold start to the morning with temperatures in the teens and wind chills near zero. This is your chance to get out and get rid of any ice on your walkway as we have more weather coming in for Christmas. Wind: E/NE 5-10. Low: 21. Another cold front will cross the region, giving us another chance for some showers. When you factor in the wind gusting up to 30 miles per hour, feels like temperatures will struggle out of the teens. Areas along and west of US-131 will see additional accumulations of snow Monday and Tuesday.
– Light rain kicks off the event with cold temperatures in the 30’s.
Get ready for frigid temperatures to continue to spill in from the north. Overnight lows will fall into the single digits.
Bitter cold air comes in to finish out 2017.
Two days before Christmas, the temperatures were almost 70 degrees, and Christmas Eve day weather will be mild, with highs in the 50s.
This evening features unseasonably mild temps, more cloud, areas of fog and a risk of isolated shower late. Low temperatures early on Christmas Eve morning drop to around 40 degrees.
For the New Years weekend the models are still having a little trouble coming into agreement on the passage of our next front. Enjoy sunny or mostly sunny skies.
