Soldier uses GoPro to prove wife’s domestic abuse
A Florida man says he’s using the GoPro to “maintain and prove” his innocence amid a messy divorce.
Michael, a soldier, as reported by WTSP 10 News, went up against 37-year-old Corinne when she forcefully grabbed his genitals.
The man, a soldier known only as Michael, told WTSP that he was trying to show the truth behind an epic battle with his ex over their twin two-year-old sons. Using an innovative method to strap the camera to his body, Michael tied the GoPro to his belt via a parachute cord.
Novak is then heard off camera yelling at Michael: “call the police”. “I’m gonna tell them you just assaulted me”. But the video landed Novak in jail, WTSP reports, for domestic battery.
Michael said he hoped the recording of the incident would help his case and he also said, “It seems to be overlooked when the man is a victim of domestic violence”. According to a probable cause affidavit, the woman, whose name Patch is not releasing to protect her estranged husband’s identity, violated a no contact order by conversing with her estranged husband during a child exchange that was conducted at the Sheriff’s Office Administration Building in Largo.
Corinne Novak, age 37, was arrested on one count of domestic battery.
Novak has been ordered not to have any contact with her estranged spouse, the judge ruled.
