Sony launches new 4K HDR TV line
Thanks to the standard, the TVs will produce higher brightness, higher contrast and more vibrant colors, Sony said.
The ultrathin XBR-X930D/XBR-X940D and XBR-X850D series TVs will carry a new Sony “4K HDR Ultra HD” logo and are created to meet the Consumer Technology Association’s definition of HDR.
Sony announced that three of its Bravia 4K TVs will have HDR technology, TechRadar reports.
It is also one of the only sets in the new range that is powered by Android TV for games and the like. It is called H.ear and will come equipped with extra bass.
HDR has been a buzzword for the likes of the smartphone industry, though it only really gained traction with TV hardware in 2015 as services such as Netflix and Amazon Instant Video began streaming in the format. The new, four-speaker Sony SRS-ZR7 features Hi-Res audio playback combined with S-Master HX™ technology which reduces noise levels.
Sony’s exclusive Content Bar allows customers to access content quickly and intuitively without disturbing while watching TV by enhancing and shortening content direct access. This Remote includes intuitive controls for full control over the Action Cam from a distance. All told, this new Action Cam makes it easier to shoot high quality video for sports and recreational activities, and produces more memorable footage than ever before.
During tonight’s big CES press conference, we can expect to see plenty of mobile devices, wearables and connected smart home devices that Sony hopes will cement its position among the leaders in the Internet of Things space.
Alongside Ultra, Sony have also announced the XBR-X900 Bravia series. The 75-inch X940, which ditches Slim Backlight Drive but has similar features otherwise, will also be shipped around same time. It also showers the room with a warm glow that harmonises beautifully with any interior. Both are the company’s first multiroom speakers with HDMI ARC port to connect to TVs to amplify TV sound. The tech giants such as Samsung, Sony, L.G., Intel among others show major innovations in their products.
