Sony launches Xperia Z5 & Xperia Z5 Premium in India
Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium will be available in dual-SIM variants at all Sony Centre. In terms of specifications, the Xperia Z5 comes with a 5.2-inch full HD Triluminos display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution sporting the same design as its predecessor – the Xperia Z3+. The lower-priced model will start selling from October 23 while the high-end model will be available starting November 7.
Sony has not conveyed the Xperia Z5 Compact to India, and won’t be getting it the first period of its lead rollout – in a recent report it has proved.
The Xperia Z5 is available in Gold, Green and Black colour options while the Z5 premium will be available in Gold and Chrome. All the three Xperia Z5 series smartphones have 23 megapixel sensor with Sony’s brand new large 1/2.3 Exmor RS and F2.0 G Lens.
Both devices have Android 5.1 Lollipop as operating system that most probably will be upgraded to Marshmallow once it begins rolling out.
While the Xperia Z5 is an update to the Xperia flagship line, the Xperia Z5 Premium takes things to the next level on the display front. The highlight of the new leader cell phones from Sony is the enhanced camera.
Under the hood, LG V10 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 chipset combined with quad-core CPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. The smartphone comes pre-installed with Modern Combat with in-game credits worth Rs 780, and free Kindle ebooks worth Rs 750.
The smartphone also features a 3,430mAh battery that is said to be good enough for two days usage and also comes with Quick Charge 2.0 support. The Xperia Z5 measures 146 x 72 x 7.3mm, while it weighs 154 grams.
