Sony Launching Noise Canceling PS4 In Ear Headset Next Month
While they’re not officially announced for the United States just yet, the headphones are priced at around $120, a bit steep when Sony’s own over-ear PS4 Wireless Stereo Headset 2.0, which has 7.1 virtual surround sound, can be had for cheaper.
Sony will release a new noise cancelling in-ear stereo headset for PlayStation 4 in December. Simply power up the AudioShield to experience increased immersion as you go deeper into the game-world, and enjoy flawless, uninterrupted audio every time you listen to music.
The handset has a built-in microphone, a mute switch, and dedicated volume buttons. It can be charged and the headset will provide up to 15 hours of use on a single charge, the headset can be juiced up using the USB cable that’s supplied with the headset. Not only is it compatible for the PS4 and PS Vita, you can also use it on your smart phones and tablets too. Those features will cost you, though, as Sony has set a pretty high price for its new headset at £78/€90 (around $120).
No matter the size of your ear holes – unless you’re outside the S, M, LG spectrum – there is an interchangeable ear-tip.
Sony already offers a varied range of official accessories for the PlayStation 4, but in-ear headphones have mostly been shunned in favor of on-ear headsets. No word yet on a North America release, but that could happen at a later date.
