Sony’s PlayStation Now service will soon stream PS4 games to your PC
Sony has announced that its PlayStation Now service – which lets users stream games to their PlayStation 4 or Windows PC – is expanding it catalogue to include PS4 games.
Before PS4 games go live for all PlayStation Now subscribers, Sony will conduct a “private test” through select subscribers in the “next few weeks”. If you’re now subscribed, be sure to keep an eye out for an invitation, as they’ll be delivered by email. If Sony were smart, once it becomes available again, they should cut the price of the service permanently or make the $100/year price option that they’ve offered every December for the past two years a permanent one.
Additionally, PlayStation Now is available on both PC and PlayStation 4 whereas Game Pass is limited to consoles.
Sony’s PS Now currently lets people stream almost 500 PS3 games from their PlayStation 4 gaming consoles, instead of having to download each game.
Hey gamers, you might soon able to stream Nioh, For Honor or Battlefield 1 through PlayStation Now.
Sony said it plans on sharing more information as we near the platform’s launch later this year. That’s pretty huge news, as PS Now is currently exclusive to PlayStation 3 titles.
We are not joking when we say that, starting 2017, PS Now subscription will include PlayStation 4 titles to the list. Sony has suggested it wants to really focus on developing the service for the PS4 and PC platforms. Other popular titles like Red Dead Redemption and Batman Arkham Origins bring the total number of games to 483 options. A 1-month subscription is $19.99 and a 3-month subscription is $44.99. If you already use and love PlayStation Now for its catalog of nearly 500 PS3 games, you may get to test out the new PlayStation 4 roster before anyone else.
