Sony sending out invites for its MWC 2016 press conference
There are other minor changes that you may not notice, but still, Android 5.1 should be better than Android 5.0. Two of those phones are the Sony Xperia C4 and Xperia C5 Ultra. Meanwhile, the software with build numbers 29.1.A.0.87 and 29.1.B.0.87 are being rolled out to C5 Ultra (models: 5553 & E5506) and C5 Ultra Dual (E5533 & E5563), individually. Either way, you can check for the update manually by navigating to Settings About phone Software update.
Obviously though, as this is a staged rollout, you could need to wait a few days before it hits every device out there. The smartphone, also powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and 3 GB of RAM, has a 3,430 mAh battery and a 5.5-inch 4K display.
Android v5. 1 Lollipop comes with enhancements to Android Run Time (ART), so applications will load faster. The Okay Google glitch has been fixed while the silent mode has been brought back as well.
The device will come running on the older Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS which will be upgraded to the new Marshmallow in the future. This was unexpected because previously the Japanese company said this device would jump from Android 5.0 straight to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, with no 5.1 update planned in between.
Sony had announced earlier that the C4 and C5 Ultra would skip the Android 5.1 Lollipop update directly for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Hopefully, Sony will give further details as to when the next update will arrive in the aforementioned devices.
