Sony unveils ‘reimagined’ Xperia range with X series
Sony at its MWC 2016 event on Monday may unveil a new smartphone called the Xperia PP10 and a “Smart Ear” wireless earbud, with both devices having recently leaked to the Web.
Sony has also introduced curved glass display with the Xperia X and XA, which fits the overall rounded, continuous frame of the handsets. So, we should take this news with a bit of salt and not get mad if Sony’s plans to upgrade its flagships will not include the Xperia Z4.
The Xperia X and Xperia XA both come with the same OmniBalance design Xperia devices are associated with.
According to Lawyer Herald, Sony had already made an announcement back in October 2015 that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will be rolled out to its devices in the first quarter of 2016.
Xperia X, Xperia X Performance and Xperia XA will be available starting June in White, Graphite Black, Lime Gold and Rose Gold, with each color having the Style Covers to match. It features a power button, volume, and camera shutter button at the right side.
Battery life has always been a priority for Sony, with the flagship Xperias boasting a minimum of a day and a half of life between charges. Sony has also introduced Predictive Hybrid Autofocus which lets you lets you choose your subject and then predicts its motion, so you can capture the action in flawless focus. Its screen will have a diagonal of 5.2-inch which will support a Full HD resolution, and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor clocked at 2.1GHz.
All three devices are due to be released in the United Kingdom this summer, but pricing is yet to be confirmed.
