Sony Xperia Z5 Compact appears in promo shot

Fans waiting for the new Sony Xperia don’t have to wait much longer to see how the new device will look like.

Speaking of design, the promotional image shows Sony will be sticking to the synonymous OmniBalance design philosophy for the Xperia Z5 Compact as well. However, the article argued that these are likely code names and these are actually the Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact given the 32GB native storage found in both devices.

However, Sony is expected to announce the Xperia Z5 Compact next month at IFA 2015.

A Dutch website, TechTastic, says it managed to get the promotional shot, which shows the back of the handset. Just as the tradition goes, the company is expected to take wraps off its next generation Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Compact smartphones.

Sony has already confirmed that it will be hosting a keynote at the September IFA event in Berlin. It doesn’t appear Sony is ready to switch up their style just yet, but the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact “may” turn out to be a popular device depending on the final specifications and how Sony decides to release it.

According to a report by VR-Zone, the Z5 Plus is reportedly going to feature 4K display resolution or 3840 x 2160 pixels. While we can’t be 100% sure, it does seem to be in line with earlier leaked photos. It is worth noting that the Japanese tech giant introduced two new colors with the predecessor Sony Xperia Z4 – Copper and Aqua Green. If the rumors are to be believed the handset should arrive with a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 chipset paired with 3 GB of RAM, while sporting a 20.7 MP rear-mounted shooter and an 8 MP user-facing camera for your selfie needs.
