Sophie Turner says Game of Thrones season six is ‘best season yet’
“It was awesome because the past five seasons, it feels like it’s been building up and up to that”, she said.
Meanwhile, Emilia Clarke didn’t exactly offer some spoilers for “Game of Thrones” season 6, but she did promise that fans will have a blast.
Nothing concrete to go on, but it certainly sounds as though we could be about see Sansa Stark finally come into her own.
Speaking about season six to Entertainment Weekly, Turner said, “This season is a really, really big one for Sansa”.
A lot of characters have been put through the wringer on Game of Thrones, but arguably none so more than Sansa Stark. The upcoming Season 6 represents uncharted territory for fans of the show and the books alike, since the author still has not finished his sixth and seventh books in the series, leaving fans in the dark about what to expect.
Another clue about Sansa suriving the fall was the report from fansite, Watchers on the Wall, which claimed that Sophie Turner was filming in what appears to be a battlefield, joining her brother Jon Snow.
Turner thinks this season is the biggest season yet because of the character development that takes place, in particular for Alfie Allen’s Reek/Theon. At the end of Season 5, Stark returned to her native Winterfell and learned from Theon that she still has surviving relatives.
On the twists and turns of the season: “I mean this season there’s like so many shocks, it’s massive”.
‘You can only suffer so much before she finally gets the respect that she deserves’.
“Game of Thrones” returns with new episodes Sunday, April 24 on HBO.
