South Carolina teen girl missing, vanished from restaurant
She was last seen leaving a Chick-fil-A near her home in Surfside Beach, South Carolina.
Police believe she is likely alone and there is no evidence of foul play at this time.
HCPD McKenna was last seen taking money out of her bank account. Police said Marley never reported to school and hasn’t been seen by her friends and family since Thursday morning. “She didn’t know how to pump gas until like two days before this happened”.
She had changed out of her school clothes and into a T-shirt.
The Horry County Police Department said Spindler is considered “Missing Endangered” because of her age and the circumstances surrounding her disappearance. She is believed to be traveling in her 2002 silver Ford Escape with South Carolina license plate KF1776.
Police said Marley was last heard from at 8.42am that morning, when she sent a group text to her friends saying someone was following her – but they wrote it off as a joke.
Mckenna Spindler’s parent’s Jay and Karen Spindler say their daughter just turned 16 in May. A clerk found her phone in a resort parking lot Thursday.
“She always calls after school”. “They are also teenagers and didn’t want to tattle on their friend if she was cutting school”.

Police learned that Spindler went to pick up a man, identified as Jeremy, to take him home in the Garden City Beach area of Georgetown County.
Police said that an original person of interest in the case, a 22-year-old man known only as ‘Jeremy, ‘ and who was reported to have been with the teen, has been cleared.
“But when she didn’t come home that night or the next night we knew there was some kind of problem”, said Karen Spindler. “Whether she is alone, whether she’s with somebody, whether somebody has her forcibly, or whether she’s going along with them, whatever the case is she just turned 16”, said Karen Spindler. “She has so much to give to the world”.
The flyer describes the 16-year-old as standing 5 feet 8 inches, weighing approximately 100 pounds with light brown hair and hazel eyes.
